14日午前に発生した岩手・宮城内陸地震による死者は6人、行方不明11人、負傷者は160人を超えた。震源に近い両県境を中心に、土砂崩れや道路の崩壊が多く発生。交通網が寸断して孤立する集落が相次いだ。
