[アメリカン・アイドル 7] ついに優勝者決定！

『アメリカン・アイドル』の第7シーズンの優勝者がついに決定！
決勝はデイヴィッド・クック(David Cook)とデイヴィッド・アーチュレッタ(David Archuleta)によるDavid対決だったわけですが、両者とも素晴らしいパフォーマンスでした。

決勝は3曲勝負。

1曲目： Clive Davisが選んだ曲

David Cook：　I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For（U2）

■審査員のコメント
Randy: “Great song. It was hot baby!”
Paula: “We have found David Cook! David Cook has arrived! Amen! Amen!”　
Simon: “I thought it was phenomenal.”　

ランディ：　素晴らしい歌だった
ポーラ：　デイビッド・クックを見つけた。クックが来た！アーメン！
サイモン：　驚くべきパフォーマンスだったと思う

David Archuleta：　Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me（Elton John）

■審査員のコメント
Randy: “This is one of the best performances of this whole season.”　
Paula: “My heart is still pounding. A beautiful, stunning performance.”
Simon: “I thought last week was Ok. I thought tonight’s performance was arguably your best this season. Round 1 goes to Archuleta.”　

ランディ：　全シーズン中で一番のパフォーマンス
ポーラ：　心臓がまだなっている。美しくて魅力的なパフォーマンス
サイモン：　先週はOKだったけど、今夜のパフォーマンスは間違えなく今シーズンで君のベストだった

2曲目：song writing contestからコンテスタントが選んだ新曲

David Cook： Dream Big（Emily Shackleton）

■審査員のコメント
Randy: “The song was just Ok but what made it work for me was you were singing your face off.”
Paula: “This is a great way to take a song we don’t know and make us love it.”
Simon: “It was a bit of a light weight I thought. It didn’t feel like a winning moment for me.”

ランディ：　歌はOKってとこだけど、よかったのは対決して歌ったこと
ポーラ：　私達が知らない歌の素晴らしい方法で、私達にその歌を好きにさせる。
サイモン：少し影響力が足りなかったと思う。勝利の瞬間という気がしなかった。

David Archuleta： In This Moment（Ryan Gillmor）

■審査員のコメント
Randy: “I wasn’t crazy about the song but it was another hot performance.”
Paula: “You are on fire tonight.”
Simon: “I loved the egotistical lyric. You chose the better the song. Round 2 goes to David Archuleta.”

ランディ：　この歌が特別好きと言うわけではないけど、ホットなパフォーマンスだった
ポーラ：　あなたは今夜燃えている！
サイモン：　私は自分勝手な歌詞が好き。君はよりよい曲を選んだ。第二ラウンドはデイヴィッド・アーチュレッタの勝ちだ。

3曲目：コンテスタントが選んだ曲

David Cook： The World I Know（Collective Soul）

■審査員のコメント
Randy: “Very nice job dude, very nice.”
Paula: “You’re standing in your truth… I truly applaud you David Cook.”
Simon: “It was a beautiful song but it was completely and utterly the wrong song choice.”

ランディ：　とてもよいパフォーマンスだった、とても。
ポーラ：　あなたは真実だった。心より拍手します。
サイモン：　美しい曲だったけど、完全に間違った選曲だ。

David Archuleta： Imagine（John Lennon）

■審査員のコメント
Randy: “You were so good tonight. This show is about finding the best singer and there he is the best singer of Season 7.”
Paula: “Its the culmination. You were stunning tonight.”
Simon: “We’ve taken a little bit of stick this season and tonight I think we have witnessed one of the great finalists. You came out here to win tonight and what we have witnessed is a knock-out.”

ランディ：　君は今夜とてもよかった。この番組はベストな歌手を発掘することで、君こそシーズン7のベストシンガーだ！　　
ポーラ：　最高だった。君は今夜輝いていた。
サイモン：　我々は今夜素晴らしいファイナリストの1人を目撃したと思う。君は今夜勝つ為にここにきた。そして我々が目撃してきたのはknock-outだ。

デイビッド・アーチュレッタ君がかなり優勢にみえましたが．．．。

結果発表

Ryan: Ladies and gentlemen. David and David. The winner by 12 million votes of American Idol 2008 is DAVID COOK.

最後は、David CookがTime Of My Lifeを歌ってグランドフィナーレ。

本当に感動しました！
すばらしいシーズンでした。

＜雑記＞
ここのところ仕事が忙しくて家にいる時間はほとんどないのですが、アメリカン・アイドルの結果はとても気になって片っ端からYou Tubeでみてしまいました。
TOEICの勉強は全然進んでいません。。。
