There is no denying it; there is definitely spring in his step.
But is it enough to finish a marathon?
At 101-years-old, Buster Martin will break a world record if he finishes the London Marathon this April.
"If you are healthy when you get to my age, it's luck. And you make your own luck most often,"
His trainer does have some concerns.
"We are actually -- he's peaking a little bit sooner than we would like, so we would like to slow him down."　←???よく聴きとれませんでした
Last Sunday, Buster finished a half marathon in good time.
And like every runner, he has a ritual. While not doctor-recommended, Buster drinks a pint of beer and has a cigarette somewhere around the middle of each race.
"I'm different from most people my age,"

When he is not running, Bustes is a member of the rock group The Zimmers.
The band's combined age is over 3,000, but that didn't stop them from scoring a hit single last year, a cover of The Who's "My Generation."

And Buster's advice for aspiring runners -- or rock stars -- is not to think about it too much, just do it.

医者は勧めないが、バスターさんはレースの真ん中あたりで、ビール一杯を飲んでたばこを吸う。
「私は同じ歳の人たちとは異なる」

彼は走っていないときは、ロックグループ"The Zimmers"のメンバーです。
そのバンドのメンバーの年齢の合計は3,000歳以上。昨年出したシングル、ザ・フーのカバー曲「My Generation」がヒットした。

ランナーやロックスターを目指すためのバスターさんのアドバイスは、あまり深く考えずにまずやってみること。

何歳になっても挑戦し続ける姿は素晴らしいと思います。
