フォークやカントリー音楽におけるバイオリンの呼び名。


■phlegm　痰
発音：フレム
・I took the pill last night, and the phlegm is gone.


■spit　（口の中のもの）を吐く
・spit the phlegm out　痰を吐きだす
・Spit it out!　（口の中のものを）吐き出しなさい。／はけ、白状しろ！


■rural area　農村地域


■be scared of　～を怖がる、～におびえる
・I'm scared of insects.　昆虫が怖い
・I'm scared of telling her what really happened.


■emerging power　新興列強
中国のように新たに台頭しつつある国家
・emerging economic power　新生経済大国


■regress　後退する、より悪い状態へ戻る
・His health has regressed to the point that he may die.


■flamboyant　見せびらかしの、派手な、鮮やかな
発音：フラムボイアント
・she is outgoing and flamboyant, continuously talking and joking.

シャンプス　エリーゼスではなく発音は普通に「シャンゼリゼ」

＜雑記＞
久しぶりのレッスンだったので積もる話がたくさんで1時間のレッスンのところを結局2時間近く話しました。この先生とはいくら話しても疲れなくて楽しいので、細々ではあるもののレッスンを続けられる理由だと感じています。
