昨日は会社帰りにNovaに行った。カードが切れたのでまた更新しないといけない。

以前映画館で見たときは英語がほとんど聞き取れないレベルだったけど、さすがに今は日本語字幕があればかなり聞き取れる。イギリス英語だし内容も単純なのでかなり聞き取れると思っていたけど、意外にヒュー・グラントの喋りが速かったりして難しかった。
内容的には大したことないと思うけど、イギリスが舞台であることと、レニーの何ともいえない魅力で結構楽しめた。

Randal's ESLを今日より開始。Easyは簡単だったので、mediumから開始。内容の大枠は理解できるけど、細かい部分で単語がききとれなかったりする。とりあえずはしばらく続けてみようと思う。

リスニング力はある程度あると思うけど、上級者というにはまだまだといったところ。TOEICでもいつもリスニングスコアは400点前後と伸びがないので、もう少し強化したい。日々、英語ニュースやフレンズなどで英語には接しているけど、これはどちらかというと聞き流しに近いのでこの他に精聴を計画的に学習にとりいれようと思う。

今までにいろいろなリスニングのHPをみつけてお気に入りに入れているけどどれも中途半端になっているので、今回は一つに決めてそれにとことん集中したい。
で、選んだのが、Randall's ESL Cyber Listening lab
レベル別に分かれていて、問題がついているので学習には適していると思う。1日一つを目処にやっていきたい。ニュースシャワーが夏休みでしばらくないみたいなので、その分の時間を使えばできると思う。

最近ニュースで政党名がよく出てくる。英語で政治ネタとなると全く歯が立たないので、この機会に政党名くらい英語で言えるようにしておきたい。
